Beach Theme

I get a ton of inquiries to do beach themed invites, and until recently I've been a bit hesitant to try my hand in designing them. I have never lived by an ocean, and haven't really considered myself "one with the sea." Melissa and Brian were married in Florida in June and I rose to the sea challenge and this is what I came up with! This beautiful photo was taken by Melissa Powell Photography from Ft. Lauderdale. Awesome Accessories

Check out these last minute details that I finished tonight for a couple that is getting married on Saturday. In the end I did their invites, escort cards, menus, table signs, and seat numbers. The latter of which is kind of unusual, but in this instance each guest was assigned a table and a number that was indicated on the escort card. Instead of having a place card at each setting we made numbers that will hang from each guests chair. I can't wait to see how it all turns out! Congratulations Elaina and Matt!

The Perfect Dress

Jennifer's wedding day was fast approaching. Nothing could dampen her excitement -- not even her parents' nasty divorce.

Her mother had found the PERFECT dress to wear and would be the best dressed mother-of-the-bride ever!

A week later, Jennifer was horrified to learn that her father's new young wife had bought the exact same dress as her mother!

Jennifer asked her step mom to exchange it, but she refused.'Absolutely not. I look like a million bucks in this dress, and I'm wearing it,' she replied.

Jennifer told her mother who graciously said, 'Never mind sweetheart. I'll get another dress. After all, it's your special day.'

A few days later, they went shopping and did find another gorgeous dress. When they stopped for lunch, Jennifer asked her mother, 'Aren't you going to return the other dress? You really don't have another occasion where you could wear it.'

Her mother just smiled and replied, 'Of course I do, dear. I'm wearing it to the rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding.’

I was looking through a ton of wedding blogs and websites this weekend and found one that I just had to share! Elizabeth Anne Designs has developed this great library of wedding resources for several different popular planning catagories. Guess what? My little business is listed under invitations! I am so excited, and so honored to be included with so many other great invitation and stationery companies. Brides, Check out this site often! oh, and check out her blog too. It's pretty amazing!

Sneak Preview

This is the first year that I have had a real "wedding season," and I have to admit I was a little overwhelmed! It's so exciting to watch my little business grow, and I crazily get really emotional thinking about all of my succeses. Last year I met this great girl Felicia, who totally got me and designed my website and has been so supportive and a great friend. Now that the sight is about a year old, and I've been growing so much we decided to do some major updates, including a whole new gallery. Here's a preview... PS. I try to not be so formal on this blog, but I think that being in school for so long has warped the fun out of my mind!
